Here's Adobe's response: https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2024/06/06/clarification-adobe-terms-of-use Here's their (anything but) Transparency Center: https://www.adobe.com/trust/transparency.html Here's a PetaPixel article on the topic: https://petapixel.com/2024/06/07/adobe-responds-to-terms-of-use-controversy-says-it-isnt-spying-on-users/ Adobe updated their terms of use, basically their EULA, for their Creative Cloud software (including Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro potentially). This update mentions that real human beings might look at any of your pictures, without any description of limitations to that. No, they won't notify you if they do look at your pictures. They cite examples of reasons they might look at your pictures, but those examples aren't complete, and the terms of use leave it open for them to look at your pictures, video, etc., for really any reason. I think this is a HUGE violation of our privacy. How can I edit photos and videos of confidential, unreleased NDA equipment knowing I might leak that secret to random people at Adobe? What about boudoir photographers - how do you explain to your clients that people at Adobe might see their photos? What about pictures of your kids - do you want people at Adobe looking at them?? BTW I used Photoshop to edit the thumbnail for this video so maybe someone at Adobe had to look at me being stupid.
